This is a really nice song. I like it. Its good that they decided to do something different than the old song “we are the world”.

Esta mas o menos personally I like We are the World better.

I’d be more impressed if they actually went to Haiti and volunteered. I don’t accept that all proceeds go to Haiti charities- middlemen definitely get their $.

I agree with Pablo. I’m so sick of these songs and concerts for haiti and for peace. People in Haiti are still living in tents and no progress at all. Where are all the millions that were donated???? Its good to see la Oreja de Van Gogh and Estopa I love them!!!! It would be nice if they could get radio and tv time in the US

This is much better than that tacky “We are the world” Spanish version undertaken. They were off key and just plainly bad. I bet you Intermon Oxfam will raise more money on this song in place of “somos el mundo.” well done, l love how thye included those musical talents from all over the Spanish-speaking world AND other stars who wanted to participate!

Could somebody please tell me who the lady is with the red checkered shirt – see her on the video link picture above? She has a special voice.

Finally, finally, others have talent and not using the same song “Somos El Mundo” that song is terrible….I dont care what Emilio, Gloria & Thalia says….it’s terrible, I heard it once and that was enough and hope to never to hear it again.

Right on Roxy!! Emilio, Gloria, and Thalia were just plain wrong, and por Vicente Fernandez sang off key, I didn’t want to see it again. This something only Carlos Jean could pull off. Did you all notice his dad in background behind Najwa Nimri twards the end of the video @4:19as he is from Haiti. I thought that was more moving than Thalia trying to “get down.”

Hi Girasol, thank you so much, I’ll check them out. She is beautiful with a voice that is mesmerizing.

@Brian, while the voice may be La Oreja de Van Gogh, im pretty sure the woman is Elsa Pataky
May 1st, 2010
@jc No, the woman is not Elsa Pataky, Leire Martinez (LOVG singer) is the voice and the woman who appears in the video with the red checkered shirt.

i love this video, at least it’s new and refreshing, and some of my fave artists are there…shakira, the munoz brothers (estopa); alejandro sanz, david otero of el canto del loco, juanes. i like the concept they used for the video as well as the way the artists are dressed, very simple and down-to-earth…
