Thalia Says Goodbye To EMI, Hello To Robbie
After 12 years with EMI Records, it is rumored that Thalia is no longer with them.
The contract with her label was not renewed as she is moving on to be on hubby Tommy Mottola’s label, Casablanca Records.
Thalia’s last album was a major disappointment, and she blames the lack of marketing for it due to the fact that she was just returning from having a baby and had that problem with the tick.
Another juicy tidbit floating around is that the new single off her next album will be a duet with Robbie Williams.
Thoughts on that???

Thalia should be blaming herself, if she wanted her album to be successful she should of done something about it, appear on talk shows MTVTR3S, The View, Cristina. I don’t know do something about it. Thaila should of put her album in EVERYONE’s face like “yeah im coming out with an album, I hope you guys go get it and enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it!” That is the only way people will pay attention to it.
Tacky, that she would blame EMI Records for her lack of sales. Many amazing artists are sign to EMI and their album sales are going up the roof! Why? BECAUSE THEY DO PROMOTION FOR IT!

I don’t like the label EMI much even though they paid Robbie a massive amount of $$$ to sing for them. They don’t seem to care much for promoting their stars outside their key markets. Like do you people from the States here even know who Robbie Williams is? Also EMI seems to be messing around with the release of Tiziano Ferro’s latest album which regardless of what this site says about Tiziano sounds really well done. They promised a release in 42 countries and yet I still don’t have my hands on it!!!! Come on EMIIIIIII Thalia was smart to leave! I think Sony BMG is the label to be at if you are popular international pop star kind of artist. I hope all the EMI people I like will move to Sony.

However I also agree that Thalia does not do enough to promote herself on her own. If she did not want to do more promotion on her own because of the baby she should not have released an album. There were no public appearances, barely any television promotions. And fact that it was recorded in three days seems careless.
