Vas o No Vas?
Telemundo is using its NBC connections to crossover their successful show Deal or No Deal to Latin America. Here are the biggest differences:
- It’s in Spanish - Duh
- It’s called Vas o No Vas? Which literally translated means - Are you going or not?
- No Howie Mandel - Thank goodness
- Instead of one million dollars, contestants have a chance at $250,000.
While this may be the biggest cash prize in Latin TV game show history - someone correct this if it is blatantly wrong - it is still disappointing to know that NBC contestants have a chance at becoming millionaires while the Telemundo contestants have a chance of attaining 25 percent of that. A comment about Hispanic viewers being only 25% as important as mainstream audiences to NBC/Telemundo would fit well here, but…nah…pass.

It’s an advertising revenue thing and not a matter of racism. The mainstream audience is more important because it generates more advertising income.
