Alot of the times the women that are on our latin television shows are BEAUTIFUL women! But what about the average looking latina, who may not have the perfect body, or big boobs, and a pretty face. Its kinda discouraging when you turn on any latin show and there’s this beautiful latin woman broadcasting/hosting. b/c it sends this message to young girls that are watching—> “yeah you may have intelligence and a masters degree, pero if you don’t look good then you’re not going to get far. And nobody’s not gonna watch if she ugly?!?”
And where are the morenas!?! I’m light-skinned, but come on, we gotta give shine to morenas too! Not every latina is light. Go to Cuba, Dominican Republic, or Puerto Rico. There are beautiful dark skin latinas out there. So where’s the love? EQUAL REPRESENTATION!
