Maria Celeste Newsweek 2002.jpgShe has done it again and again, so it comes as no surprise that Maria Celeste Arraras is bestowed the honor of being the first Latin television personality to land on the cover of Newsweek.

The cover celebrates “Women and Leadership: The Next Generation. 20 Powerful Women on How to Take Charge and she shares it with Queen Latifah and Google.com VP Marisa Mayer.

“As a Hispanic woman, I am honored to be on the cover of such a prestigious magazine with two distinguished women that I admire and respect,” says Maria Celeste.

As part of this honor, she will also participate in the “Women and Leadership Conference” on Tuesday September 19th in New York.

Of course congratulations are in order, but let’s make sure that this is not the last Latin TV personality to make it on the cover. Thank you Maria Celeste for demonstrating what a strong and intelligent Latina is all about.
