Fernando Del Rincon’s Mega News Edicion Nocturna is the first interactive news program for Latinos.
Viewers can participate in the show via Facebook, Twitter, and Skype by submitting stories and opinions on the headlines of the day.
Mainstream networks have adopted this idea and it is great to see that Mega News is doing the same because it bridges the sometimes wide gap between technology and the Latino community.
Several audience interactions have already been successful. A Facebook user recently commented on the controversy of the video of child actors in Puerto Rico who were playing with weapons, essentially turning this viewer into a Web news reporter. The video caused a legal investigation by the island’s Government because they did not know if the weapons were real.
