fusionDisney wants out!

Two years ago, Univision and Disney teamed up and launched Fusion – a network aimed at second generation Latinos in the US.

Despite targeting that fast-growing population, Fusion is anything but. The ratings are stale.

Industry insiders say Disney has lost interest and doesn’t care to invest any more into the network. Now Univision is in negotiations to take over the ownership and operation of Fusion.

It’s disappointing really. We were completely behind Fusion, its mission, and what it represented – but, sadly, it hasn’t reached its full potential.

Fusion lost $35 million in 2014, according to a regulatory filing from Univision this year in preparation for its since-delayed initial public offering.
