Shakira Opens School in Barranquilla
While the rest of us hold our hands out for gifts on our birthdays, Shakira did something far more generous on hers.
She celebrated her 32nd by opening a school in her hometown of Barranquilla in Colombia.
She says that the school, which counts with a student body of 1500, is a dream come true for her since she has longed to do this since she was 15 years old.
Amazing! We can’t imagine the positive domino effect this will have on the community.

She lives in the Bahamas, one of the world’s tax havens where rich people and companies take residence because they can escape paying taxes.
How do you think school and hospitals are build and supported. With tax money! Also in Colombia.
She loves to pose as a humanitarian. She gets so much good publicity with this. It helps her to sell her music of course. How nice arrangement. I’m quite sure she would have to pay a lot of more to Colombia, if she wasn’t avoiding her taxes than what her charity gives.
Also, she gives a bad excample to all who don’t want to pay what society expects of all it’s citizens.
You can’t do this if you are a U.S. citizen, because your residence doesn’t matter, only your citizenship counts and you still pay taxes to the U.S. no matter where you live. Correct me if I’m wrong on this.

You swear like she is the only artist that does not pay her taxes. There are sooo many people in the entertainment business that don’t pay their taxes.
She is a humanitarian! Get your facts straight about Shakira before you start talking shit about her. Shakira didn’t start her humanitarian work this month nor this year, she started when she was a teenager. She had her own charity when she was eighteen years old. How many people do you know that had their own charity at eighteen? No one right?
Shakira does not need to be a humanitarian for publicity especially for her music; she does just fine without it. You can tell by the smile on her face that she enjoys it. I don’t think a person would be stupid enough to fake being a humanitarian.

There is probably someone that has hurt you in the past that is why you’re taking your anger out on Shakira. Quite frankly I don’t think she would give a rat’s ass what you say or think about her. So stop wasting your time!
I am soo happy for her; she deserves being named Humanitarian of the Year!
