Escuchame: Shakira ‘Loca’
Shakira‘s new single Loca is going to be another HUGE hit for the Colombian singer.
It’s got a classic merengue beat to pop vocals sung with Indian influences.
We can already see people requesting this just to dance to it!

Sounds ok, but something about it is “off”. Like, it’s too busy/heavily produced w/too much extra stuff taking away from the vocals.

I like the song, and i think it is something new and risky for her. She tries to change her music enough to get credit for it. I do no think this song will be in English will it? I respect her singing in English, but i do not like it.

I like it but I don’t think its that serious to give it negative press around it. I love Shakira and her wordly interest on music other than from her homeland. She actually went to the DR to record this song with El Cata. I mean really what local artist wouldn’t be let or be excited that an international artist sample their song. Come on people its a collaboration! Anyways music is an acquired taste for the greater population, everyone has an opinion. And guess what mine is a thumbs up!!!

I like it, but I also feel that the vocal should dominate. I don’t like distortion. Keep the music in the background where it belongs. She’s very talented and fascinating to watch, and of course it is not her fault but the people who finalize the remix. She still could have some say so.
