Mia Maestro Replaces Roselyn Sanchez
Our media buddies over at TVChismesDigital are reporting that Mia Maestro has been cast in the pilot for ABC’s Cutthroat, replacing Roselyn Sanchez.
Roselyn announced that she was cut because of her accent, which didn’t sit too well with LatinGossip.com readers.
Mia actually has an accent of her own, though one can argue that it isn’t as ‘marked’ as Roselyn’s, but we’re happy that a Latina was cast anyway.

Could it be possible that the real reason why Roselyn was dismissed was cause she’s a bitch? I don’t know her personally nor can I vouch for her personality, in fact I just want to screw the holy crap out of her, but perhaps, just perhaps she’s a diva and a bitch. Just putting it out there thats all.

nope, mia has a relationship with someone @ ABC, remember she was on “Alias,” and ABC top dogs like to stick with people that they are close with already (which explains why some other token latina on ABC got her roles)–roselyn doesn’t have that yet. And ABC likes to think of themselves as “diverse.” hah. porfis.

Para mí el acento argentino de Mia es más marcado que el de Roselyn. And, by the way, Roselyn is not a bitch, she has done many great deeds for the sick children of Puerto Rico.

Doing great things for Puerto Rican children doesn’t preclude one from being a bitchl. She could be a closet bitch. Many great actors and actresses do things in the name of charity only to be demonic selfish bastards when the world isn’t watching.
Might I remind you the Christian Bale fiasco of a few years ago when he threw a tantrum on the set of one of his movies. Now most would think he was a great guy, except for the people that work with him, who know him to be one hell of a bitch.

Relax Chris Cab, she’s not as white as me!! Blonde hair, blue eyes–as my Cuban friend describes me–a Viking conquest! I get the feeling that Roselyn was just not the #1 choice, NOT that her accent was a barrier! Just ask Penelope if her accent has hurt her career!

Rosalyn proved to be a good actress in Without A Trace, accent and all. Sometimes things happen for a reason. Maybe something better is in store for her.

Most of these actresses are bitches to some degree. It goes with the competition and the modern day fame. At least they did cast a latina, no matter where she is from. Who cares? Maybe she’s doing it for less money. They don’t ever tell us what they don’t want us to know anyways.

Oh Colleen don’t get me wrong, I’m white lookin’ myself… But wouldn’t you agree we get a slightly better chance/more opportunity than typical mestizo Latinos?
I think Rosalyn Sanchez was adequate for this job.
