Why Did Ricky Martin Have 2 Women Make His Babies?
Everyone is questioning Ricky Martin’s baby-making procedure.
Why would Ricky choose to have an ovum placed in the uterus of another woman? Why not just have the woman who produced the female egg carry the baby as well?
We asked our friend who did the exact same thing years ago and his response was simple.
Legally, this makes it difficult for either woman to fight for the babies in the future, should they have a change of heart. Makes sense.
Could this be the reason Ricky went down this route?

One or two women - does not matter. Ricky’s foundation’s goal is supposed to educate people about this modern day slavery. What he did does not differ too much from the slavery.
Just as one would walk into a store, chose an item, buy it (and the store’s handling services), and leave with some form of legal receipt of purchase he chose a surrogate mother, bought the babies she produced from her (and payed the clinic/agency for overseeing the deal), and left with a contract stipulating that the babies are his legally. This service idea has also commonly been seen as analogous to prostitution. In this case, he purchases or rents the use of a woman’s body parts for a period of time. The woman performs what she is told to do, and leaves the transaction when finished with. Here, the clinic/agency is analogous to the pimp, receiving his cut of the woman’s purchase price.
The babies purchased from the gestational mother. In effect, this is babyselling. That’s modern slavery.
Congratulations, Ricky, for showing your double morale that you always had.

It could also be that the woman whose eggs were used is unable to carry a baby herself. So the eggs are fertilized and then placed in the womb of a surrogate who can carry them.

He went down this route because he’s gay, as simple as that.
Someone who doesn’t already get it is a lunatic and needs to accept the obvious.

This is the most selfish thing ever… He bought 2 babies to fulfill his need to be a father and nothing else…If he wanted to be a father he could’ve adopted, then he would’ve actually made some kind of difference to humanity…To see people condone this just because he is a mega star and rich is ridiculous… To hear all over the news “How nice he did it because he wanted to be a daddy, he’ll be so good at it”, etc.., it really makes my skin crawl… It just proves that people who are rich think they can get away with anything… If he felt lonely he should’ve bought a pet….

Wow! Chill Pr1nc3s4B3114! No need to get your panties in a frickin’ bunch. How the hell is this being selfish? Should your parents have adopted instead of having you??? Should mine??? What a moronic comment! Doesn’t Ricky have a right to be a natural father? What does this have to do with being rich or being a celebrity? I know common folk who have done this procedure. What the hell is the big deal? Who the hell are you to call him selfish? Ricky has given more of himself, not to mention time and money, to many charities and causes for most of his life. By the way, the last time I checked, single men cannot adopt. I know you are intitled to your opinion, and here is mine: you are ignorant! Have a nice life

I find it odd that he went this route because he recently said he was interested in adopting. In fact I thought he said “we”, implying he had a partner.
Single men *can* adopt depending on state law. I’m not sure where Ricky is domiciled - Florida? Single men can adopt here in California but I don’t know about Florida.

How the hell is it selfish to want your own biological child? And who’s to say he won’t adopt down the road?
One of my best friends went through hell and high water in terms of medical treatments to have her own child, and she is far from rich and definitely not a celebrity. She now has two beautiful daughters - should we tell those girls that their mother was selfish for going through what she did to have them instead of just adopting?

If he had adopted 2 kids he still would have “brought” them in a sense since there would have been money exchanged. And wouldn’t adoption still have been fulfilling the same need - his need to be a father. Or was he going to put the adopted kids on a shelf like a pair of book ends and not be a father to them? Why not be a father to his own natural kids if he can do that? And like I said, what’s to say he won’t adopt a child or two in the future?
As for making some kind of difference to humanity; I’m sure he has already made more of a difference than you will ever make.

juana, some rumors tell the twins were born in Los Angeles. Ricky is living in Miami last time I checked, but let’s see what’s going to happen next, is he moving or what.

minneola - If he adopted he would have “bought” them as well. NOBODY adopts for free. There is no difference. I suppose you would rather have him knock somebody up and be a father every other weekend instead? It takes a strong man to decide to become a father and do it alone - just like a woman. In my opinion, your point of view is way too harsh, judgemental, and just plain silly. There are a few people around here that need to be knocked off their high horse. I volunteer for the smackdown!

People who say that and call Ricky a hypocrite are stupid who don’t know what they are talking about and just spread venom and hatred because they maybe don’t like him because of his music or they think he is gay etc…
There is a huge difference between what Ricky is fighting against, which is exploitation/enslaving children for money gain, and paying for a surrogate to cary HIS BIOLOGICAL SONS. What Ricky did here is to BECOME A FATHER, and it is done every day all over the world, in one way or another. If this is the only way for him to be able to achieve the goal of becoming a father and having a family, then more power to him and congratulations! I’m 100% sure that he will be an amazing father and will give his kids all the love in the world. Just like the love and support he is already giving by sponsoring the upbringing and education of 3 girls he “adopted” from India.
So people need to stop with these hateful and ignorant comments and get a life and stop living other people’s lives and criticizing every step they do.

BINGO! But then people would have to have some kind of education, and common sense, to understand that.

well you people that know kiki soooo much I guess
you also know that he did adopted grls from india and so did rebecca de alba.
My thing is I just saw in interview on rebecca and she says that she knew this was going to happen longtime ago and she knows everything about ricky
and her smile was so glowing when they asked her if it was her eggs and she didn’t want to comment
mumm he also said he was seeing some one he knew more the 14yrs ago. thats strange cause her face and laugh and smiles makes me believe she is the egg doner and she is way older then him and that would be understandable. anyway he will be a great father. every thing is about his sex orientation when he has done so many kind things like saving those grls he adopted and so on
give this man credit he does a lot for the poor and human trafficing. what do you do?
