ricky+martin+01.jpgWe’ll just say it…we love Ricky Martin.

Not just for his music and artistry, but because he really does put himself out there to help the defenseless in this world.

Ricky will be participate in next week’s ‘Vienna Forum’, hosted by the United Nations Global Initiative, to fight human trafficking.

Celebrities and public figures from across the world – including Suzanne Mubarak, the First Lady of Egypt; Emma Thompson, the Oscar-winning actress; and Ricky Martin, the Grammy Award-winning pop star and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador - will be participating.

With millions of victims, in an industry generating tens of billions of dollars each year, human trafficking is “the hidden crime of globalization”. The Forum aims to put the crime on the global agenda and raise awareness of people’s everyday complicity in “a crime that shames us all”.

This is obviously a serious issue that has to be addressed and thanks to Ricky it will.
