Ricky Martin Even Protects Kids Online
This kodak moment took place this past Friday, but we couldn’t pass up a chance to show you Ricky Martin working side by side with Bill Gates.
They were both at the annual meeting of the Inter-American Development Bank to discuss the “Navega Protegido” online safety campaign -a joint effort between the Ricky Martin Foundation and Microsoft Corporation- aimed at protecting children in Latin America from hazards on the Internet.
So far, more than 6 million users have benefited from this initiative.
That Ricky does so much good!

While on a self imposed hiatis , this year is devoted to his foundation work. Don’t belittle yourself by attempting to demean a person such as Ricky . It’s involved with preventing & educating people about internet pedophiles, and it works closely with police forces to locate and actually catch these jerks. (Not so easy in a wired world). This is a HUGE problem; guys in europe & north america who make tons of money by violating children online (often kids in less-developed countries).
Ricky has always spoken about about child abuse in all forms, even though sexual abuse of kids is still a “taboo” subject (because people don’t want to believe just how bad it is) so he’s not a bandwagon-jumper at all.
