Ricky Fingers Bush
During his performance in Puerto Rico, Ricky Martin stuck his middle finger out when he mentioned President Bush’s name. In the song Asignatura Pendiente, there is a line in the lyrics that goes:
“A photo with Bush…”
As he said this, Ricky gave him the F-you treatment and the crowd of 18,000 fans went crazy and cheered.
The irony in all of this is that Ricky was one of the artists to sing for Bush during his inauguration as President.

I was at the concert in Puerto Rico. Ricky’s song Asignatura Pendiente has a line about his life “A photo con Bush’….it was a simple statement, without changing the song. It was greeted with yells and screams of approval by the majority of the crowd. He also had a huge PEACE SYMBOL in the floor of the stage, and if you know Ricky, his Foundation and the issues he works for against child trafficking and minors and his strong anti-war stance has never changed. When he poerfomred with Bush it was meant to be a party for the whole country….it didn’t use to mean you supported the politics of the incoming Party. Unfortunately, Bush has proved himself to be the liar he is time after time after time, its a betrayal of our country when the President lies, cheats and ignores the will of Congress and the people.
Thank you Ricky for having the courage to tell people in your own simple way of how you really feel.
As for Puerto Rico, after what the govt. did to Vieques, and reading how they have left a mess for the locals to endanger themselves to clean up live ammunition and everything else they left behind, why should Puerto Rico be happy with Bush and his policies.

I just wish they all could get up together, give him the finger, or double finger him, and take away all the funding available so he would be obligated to end this nonsense.
For all of you who criticize the fact that he appeared with Bush back in 2001, all I have to say is that he didn’t know then how things would turn out, just as I’m sure most of you who voted for him wouldn’t have if you’d known then what you know now.

One of the truly great things about this country, which has been since its inception, is the opportunity to express our points of view regardless of political persuasion. There was an understanding that the ground rules required that we all respect (at least outwardly) our differences of opinion. Required because anyone of us might someday find themselves on the unpopular side of an argument. Lately however, it seems that there is no longer room for universal dissent. Only those of us who are considered hip or enlightened have an opinion that matters, or should even be heard. Any opinions to the contrary are publicly decried as made by individuals who must be ignorant, uneducated, or misinformed. Reasonable people consider all sides of an argument, weigh all the facts of a situation and then through THEIR OWN analysis formulate a position. They do NOT simply parrot whatever hype is presented to them. They also continue to respect dissenting positions. Why? Because in doing so I ensure that my position will continue to be respected as well. Shouting down and deriding our fellow citizens shows a lack of foresight, or perhaps a lack of knowledge of history. Too many societies have succumbed to populist positions that persecuted dissent. The results have invariably been disastrous. I submit that a healthy respect for the rights of others to express a difference of opinion is a corner stone of a truly healthy democracy.
As for the act in and of itself; I believe Mr. Martin may have done himself and the opinion he represents a huge disservice. Like it or not the office of President of the Unisted States is a direct representation of ALL the people of this country. Showing that kind of crude level of disrespect diminishes the validity of his opinion. He certainly would have displayed a modicum of civility and garnered the respect of any observer if he had simply refused to meet with or play for Mr. Bush. I don’t believe anyone would have any valid criticisim if he had politely expressed his dissent and dissatisfaction with Mr. Bush. Better to be a gentleman or lady in a small minority, than a crude lemming in an angry mob.

Al queada and bin ladin hide out in areas where they’re are welcomed like ally countries of before iraq and now Iran we must get rid of Al queada’s allie so they wont have a place to run and hide and bring them to justice and iran has been helpin iraq militia during the war and helping kill u.s soldiers so people vote republican before we must not let a democrat stop the war because thats thier strategy we must go forth and chose a presdint that will protect U.S that will prevent another 911 attack ever happening please vote for republican becaues theres been facts that showed that even now and before in history that democrats are careless and show no strengths in going to wars for example if you seen the movie black hawk down U.S SOLDERS where disspointed and angered of bill clintons a democrat who withdrew them from the war going on there and made it seem like they went there for nothing and died for nothing …u.s soldiers wanted to finish what they started but bill clinton did not let them. thats why democratsdo not take wise acts of terrorists attacks which gives terrorists the upper hand and lead .
