Premios Billboard 2010: Ricky Martin
Ricky Martin was the big surprise of the night!
He didn’t sing. He didn’t dance. He simply spoke against the law in Arizona which actually violates simple human rights.
That alone, and he stole the night! King of Puerto Rico!

King of Puerto Rico??!!! LMAO!!!! People have him on a pedestal now!!!! What does he know about discrimination? as far as I’m concerned he lives in Miami in a mansion. Has he ever looked for employment in a corporation in the US or has worked with only Americans in a company? Or lived in a state/county with no hispanics or latinos??
This awful law will be vetoed!!!! but only real politicians will make the difference!!!

VIVA ARIZONA’S IMMIGRATION LAW!!!
We want all illegals out of the USA. We are sick of them sucking up tax payer resources, ruining our schools & neighborhoods, refusing to assimilate or speak English, depressing other workers’ wages, stealing jobs (including out teens’ jobs at McDonalds – how low), and commiting crimes.
We will never accept amnesty. All illegals must leave this country. We are tired of them ruining it.

Ricky Martin is King! Such a great humanitarian!
Obviously American Girl is on the wrong site! Get back to gringo land…

wow im one for having our own opinions and all but American Girl is clearly here just to stir up problems…lets not dignify her with any kinda response’s.

Dear American Girl
You do NOT speak for me, nor for many Americans who APPRECIATE anyone willing to work hard to improve the lives of their families. Unless you are a Native American Indian, your ancestors were at one time immigrants to this country. The only difference between now and then, is that this country now has a poorly constructed set of Immigration Laws that severely restricts who can legally enter this country (and it’s a good thing that the Native American Indians didn’t have these same Immigration Laws when our ancestors arrived).
America has a LOT of problems, but to try and blame then on the undocumented immigrants is unjustified. Most undocumented immigrants are NOT criminals or in the drug trade. If we want to get a real handle on the drug problem, then EVERYONE needs to stop using drugs OR we can legalize, control and TAX them so that they are no longer being distributed by criminal types.
Many undocumented immigrants do work that we’ve become to lazy to do (I could just see the average American citizen working in the fields of Fresno, CA when it’s 110˚ picking fruits and vegetables, working more than 40 hours a week for minimum wage – All so we can have affordable food).
I’ve often said that if there was a way that ALL undocumented immigrants could stop working for a month, that ALL of America would be begging for them to return.
I RESPECT and WELCOME ANYONE to America that is willing to work for a better life for themselves and their families. I’m TIRED of seeing descent hard working people being treated badly simply because of the color of their skin or where they were born.
I want REAL Immigration Reform NOW!

That was the right thing to do for a much needed cause. I’m totally against this Draculian Law. There are racist people who speak without thinking. They are attacking because they are not in this situation. Yet when a law is passed agiant them, then they will ask for our support. What goes around comes around. There are millions of illegals who come to the U.S., from Germany, Russia and Ireland who are not as concerned because they feel they won’t be stopped or interrogated. This is not a fair law. Thank you Ricky Martin for showing your support.

American Girl: Get the F*ck out of here! You’re clearly racist. And I bet your ancestors were illegal immigrants as well. Because NOBODY ever asked Native Americans permission to entry.

I am so ashamed of such law. Where are the principles of humanity, love, respect, and in God we trust. We are one contenent and that is America. God bless America and bless our land. Lets fight for America and make it a better world. As salvadoran, I must say that my country has been throu lots of ups and down but it stand still. We are one familly. Let all you know that our ancestors came from somewhere else. Let those thank for being in a great nation.

if you dont like our legal system- GET OUT= go somewhere else and see how much free lifestyle you get handed to you when you go to another country illegally- you would get shot rather than questioned- especially Mexico. America owes Mexico nothing!
May 1st, 2010
Oh and Sally, you can get out too since you are so ashamed of OUR country! Of course all of the immigrants are entitled, thats what happens when people are given everthing for free, they want more and more. Go back to that violent, dump you are from and see how you like it there.
May 1st, 2010
You would be smart to stay out of Arizona. You might be assaulted by a criminal, your children might be kidnapped and used for prostitution (look it up, it’s documented)
ILLEGAL means “against the law.” Nobody said anything about LEGAL immigrants.
You are fools to believe these criminals who want to enter the United States would not choose you, Latino or not, as a victim for one of their more heinous crimes.
Wake the eff up and support the United States – or get the eff out and live in Mexico.

I’m with America girl, jeezlouise, Marialinda…If illegals want to be in this country they need to do it the RIGHT way. Go back to your country get a visa, passport, etc… to come over here. The majority of AZ citizens support this law, its not about being racist its about obeying the LAW. Now days wrong things are good, and the good things are bad. A lot (not all) of illegals are on welfare, foodstamps, goverment help….which all this help should be going to AMERICANS, not ILLIGALS.
For those that hate this new law (talking to illegals), if you don’t like it GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY!
May 1st, 2010
jezzlouis, guess you better start packin’ your bags cause the law is getting repealed, and you can go back to the dumpster where ya came from!
ps: you obviously don’t know about mexico’s policies. check out this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U69xCa8ynm0

wow! i’ll just choose to ignore the ignorant comments here and hand my kudos over to ricky for speaking out on such an important matter. the standing ovation he received gave me chills! he looked so relaxed and more hansome than ever – like a giant weight has been lifted from his shoulders. hmmm… wonder what that could be? jajaja! i’m so proud of him!

If I’m not mistaken; illegals do not take away any of this things from Americans. There are still more “americans” on welfare, food stamps, etc… than illegals. An illegal adult can not get welfare / monetary assistance. They will only get assistance for their children that are born here. The check / benefits will be in the adult’s name because they are the parent and you obviously you are not going to give the money to the child. But the adult will not be included in the budget.

The Real JP, so what if those kids are getting welfare? They’re CITIZENS! And foremost, HUMANS!
And FYI, illegals who work with fake/stolen SSNs never claim for they’re tax returns… Thereby, where’s THAT money you don’t hear about? I’m sure it’s a significant amount, and it’s going straight to the gov’t!!!!!!!!!!
Hector I feel bad for you. Because just from your name, I know you’re a straight ass PAISA who just came to the US and think’s he’s an “American” haaaa pinche pueblerino ignorante! I wish you’re parents would have taught you some values.
Anyways, BOYCOTT NAZI-ZONA!

Chris you really need to take a reading comprehension course. I was not condemning them I was clearing things up for the fool that said welfare and food stamps are going to them. I was pointing out that her statement was wrong and the benefits are not going to the parents just the kids because the kids are American – so basically I was stating what you just told me – that the kids get the benefits because they are American citizens.
Honestly I have a bigger problem with natural born Americans who choose welfare as their main means of support. I have a problem with the young pendejita Americans that have kid after kid while on welfare and at the same time have a drug dealing pendejo boyfriend who is also supporting them. I have a bigger problem with my taxes going towards supporting those pieces of shit.
I have a bigger problem with the natural Americans that have the freedom to do whatever they want, go to school, job training, etc… but consciously choose to be on welfare. That shit is not due to illegals taking jobs from them – it’s due to them being conditioned to that lifestyle, most of them coming from a family that for generations has depended on welfare or see welfare as the easy way out.
Aargh I swore I wasn’t going to get into this mess. I’m done with this topic.

Haha reading comprehension course? JP I wasn’t condeming you either! I was just clearing up some of the shit you said, which I find to be questionable.

I am glad to hear that big name Hollywood celebrities, like George Clooney, James Olmos, Penelope Cruz, Oscar de La Joya, etc. are finally getting together to take a stand aginst this awful Draconian Law by boycotting Arizona. I cannot see any sane person backing up this Arizona governor. Let her burn by herself. She is a disciple from Hell as far as I’m concerned. There are more of us anyways. We can win if we stand tall. I was very proud of Ricky Martin’s speech, because even though he is not illegal, he has real human compassion. Viva Puerto Rico.
