Chayanne Says No to Offer to Replace Ricky Martin
Looking to replace one Puerto Rican superstar with another Puerto Rican superstar, are we?
Ricky Martin‘s run on Evita is going to come to a close soon and producers are quickly trying to figure out who can replace him on the show.
According to Terra, Chayanne was offered the part once Ricky’s contract ends…but he said no.
He’s got other plans in the works and doing this musical just doesn’t fit.
Do you think Chayanne would have been a good replacement?? Can you think of anyone else for the part?

CHAYANNE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT REPLACEMENT! PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR YOU TO SEE, THAT NOT EVERYTHING IS FAME AND FORTUNE. I APPLAUD HIM ON HIS DECISION, IF IT WAS NOT THE TIME. LOVE YOU CHAYANNE!!!!!!!!!! OTHER PEOPLE WOULD HAVE GRABBED THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE MONEY AND THE EXPOSURE!

I would pick Marc Anthony, nobody has a better voice than him, plus he lives in NY

As much as I like Chayanne he can’t replace Ricky Martin. Trust me. I saw “Evita”. Big shoes to fill. Plus Chayanne’s English is very limited.

He’s still out is that, he dont get the credit he deserves, check out his album ”otra vez”. He still has it and his unique voice too, but his voice now is nothing compared to his peak where he sang his butt off.

@Rudy, I beg to differ with your comment. Yes it’s true that Marc Anthony has a nice voice, but he does not compare to Chayanne. Also being born in New York has nothing to do with it.
