RBD Kicked Out of Radio Station
The members of RBD were kicked out of radio station La Kalle 105.9 in New York!
The DJs were asking Christian Chavez questions about his sexual preference and the rumors circulating about his love life, which he answered…AND THEN one DJ said that the ninth caller would win a baggie of marijuana from Christian himself.
Christian walked out of the studio and gave the DJ the middle finger…the DJ got so pissed and accused the members of RBD of not having a sense of humor that he kicked them all out.
The DJs are known for playing pranks on celebs, but they may have crossed the line this time. We’re siding with RBD on this one! Your thoughts?

Cristian is a p***y and acting like the biggest freaking queen.
These DJ’s are known for playing pranks on EVERY celebrity. It’s expected. Not saying the prank / joke was the nicest but hey – you’re in the public spotlight and you get busted with drugs, deal with what comes afterwards. He is no better than any other celebrity that gets busted doing something negative and then gets made fun of in the media. How many times don’t we do it on here?
Cristian should have been a man and told them straight out right then & there how he felt. Instead he says he’s going to the bathroom, but actually goes into the station’s kitchen and then proceed’s to give th DJ’s the middle finger on the camera in there. Wow que gran hombre. That behavior is shit you expect from an 8 year old.
When the DJ lets everyone know what he is doing; one of the girls in the group says no. The DJ tells them he’s just gave him the middle finger on the camera in the kitchen.
The DJ said he thinks that what he (Cristian) is saying behind the camera, which is something very vulfar, is not going to be said. This is a show where we have a good time, where we do pranks, and if you are don’t like the prank, are not down with that – then don’t come to the program. It’s not for him to be giving me the finger.
When Cristian came back he simply said that his fans know him and what type of person he is. He says something about que onda y este tipo de programma & the DJ asked him que onda? Again, a chance for him to be a man and say what he has to say – but he doesn’t. Then one of the girls kicks in apologizing and asking the public for forgiveness and mentions when their record comes out. The DJ tells them yeah sell your record and asked them to leave.
The DJ told Cristian he is a pig and not enough man that because he doesn’t like the program he gives people the middle finger and says vulgar things to them (as opposed to just saying something). The DJ says that he feels bad for the other members who are good and have talent, and something about them having someone like him in the group. I agree – why should they be asking forgiveness and making excuses for him? Who the hell is he that they have to take the heat for him?
Sorry but I’m on the DJ’s with this one. The best way to make them look stupid would have been to open his mouth and stop them right in their tracks. Imagine how that would have caught them off guard. But instead he lies that he’s going to the bathroom and instead goes to the kitchen where all of a sudden he’s Mr. Macho – look at me I’m gonna give you the middle finger and doing toher vulgar stuff on the camera because I’m a 8 year old. Now he looks like an ass.
You wanna be in the spotlight, you wanna act stupid, you wanna do drugs – learn how to deal with the backlash. Act like a freaking man and deal with things head on.

I just watched the video. They were not disrespectful in terms of talking about his sexuality or him getting busted for drugs. They seemed to be having a cool conversation about his sexuality and the need for tolerance, understanding and unity regarding the issue of homosexuality. They also spoke of how he may be an example for gay youth, and how in the old days this was a taboo subject.
Again, if he had a problem with the DJ he should have confronted him. Not lie that he was going to the bathroom and then do stuff on a camera – away from the DJ.
They just showed on EscandaloTV where the DJ’s were talking to them in what appears to be the van they were traveling in outside the studio. Don’t know which of the girls it is that responded ‘cuz I don’t know them too well – it may have been Dulce – but she has my respect. She said straight out why they were upset and they had to bleep out some of her words when she was doing so. LOL See she stepped up to the plate; while he was there still dodging the questions from the DJ. That girl gets my respect. Cristian needs to grow up.

However, I wished Cristian and RBD had just walked out and left it at that. It’s important to be the bigger person. As for La Kalle, seriously, take responsibility for your actions. Stop pointing the finger because you have no excuse for such an undesirable joke.

Fuck the haters!

i”m with you Joana. I think that respect wants respect. Why the DJ is feeling offended for what Christian did, if he was there disrespecting and offending his sexuality and his actions…I had just gone to their concert the night before here in N.Y. and spoke to Christian and his partner and they are such a nice people and really down to earth. I think that the DJ need to grow up, not Christian…(JP..this is for you). The group went to the radio station to promote their album and eventhough the radio station is known for making pranks, they crossed the line by asking him such sick questions and those jokes. I bet you that if would have been done to them, someone telling them how do they like to be F— or really personal information they would have feel the same way.
I think they are putting to much pressure to this guy And as Joana says there are 6 of them not only him. Plus his is not the only gay guy in a band or the only one that had used drugs. Even the ones in the radio station son unos crackerossss viejos….
Well anyways RBD did a hell of a concert and are really really nice chicos…

What cracks me up is how most people are focusing on the gay part. He didn’t walk out over the gay comments – that conversation was actually pretty cool if you watch the video. He walked out over the joke about drugs.
The girl from the group basically said hey you know why we got upset because we got in early, we were tired, and we didn’t know the show was gonna be like this. They didn’t know what they were walking to and basically didn’t appreciate what went on. Granted she said it using various expletives, and I can understand why, but at least she said hey this is what pissed us off. She told them straight in their faces and shut the DJ up.
As for the DJ’s getting fired – it’s not gonna happen. And a lawsuit will go nowhere. What they should do is do like other stars and make it clear to the radio stations, TV shows, whatever before they agree to the interviews that hey – such and such topics are off limits and are not to be mentioned.
As for typing alot – thank god for typing 90 words a minute.

Hey guys. I’m a dj in the competing station and had the opportunity to interview Christian before La Kalle did. We asked them the same questions that they did, but we did it with respect and integrity. Christian responded to our questions and even joked about the situation. The difference is, we were laughing with him, not at him. I’m not the biggest RBD fan, but on Monday they gained my respect. I do not criticize what the other dj’s do, they have their style and it is valid. But hey, if you are going to be bold about your questions and comments, do expect a bold reaction.

I listened to this on the radio yesterday and honestly I blame their manager or publicist- who ever set up the interview. RBDshouldn’t have been on La Kalle in the first place- its not RBD kind of music. Second, if they did not want to speak about certain subjects, their manager or publicist should have pre-arranged that with the radio station. But seriously, if they knew anything about the hosts and their morning show, they would know that they like to joke around and play pranks. It’s their thing. The manager or publicist should have been aware of that and made the group aware of that.

I don’t understand why Latin radio DJs are so homophobic. Christian should be proud that he is out and frank about being gay. He is a great role model and if this station can’t deal with the changing perceptions of a young Latino being gay then they are stuck in the dark ages. I applaud Christian and I’m sure their new album will be even more successful after this incident. I think its embarassing for La Calle because it makes them look homophobic and discriminatory.

Their representative or whatever should have told them ok guys this is the way the DJ’s are, this is the type of show it is yada yada yada.
These are the same guys that were able to get through directly to Castro, Chavez and I believe it was the President of Argentina via phone and take them for suckers. Were they fired for it? Were they disciplined? No So if you think them offending RBD is gonna lead to them getting fired – think again. RBD is not THAT important in the grand scheme of things. As it is they are now using the fact that they were one of the first stations to throw RBD out of the studio in their radio promotions. LOL And ratings will not go down ‘cuz most fans of RBD don’t listen to that station regularly since they don’t really play their music. They probably only listened in that day cuz of the group. So if they never listen again – the station isn’t really losing any numbers.
