Christian Chavez May Have Been Denied Adoption
A few months back we heard a rumor that Christian Chavez and hubby BJ Murphy were looking to adopt a child, and the RBD singer said that it wasn’t true.
BUT now the story has resurfaced because of new details regarding the supposed adoption.
Sources are saying that Christian and BJ did apply to adopt a two-year old girl but were denied.
The reasons why they were rejected haven’t been revealed.
He could always go the Ricky Martin route and rent a uterus, but Christian has mentioned on several occasions the joys of providing a new life to a child via adoption.

It is wonderful that he had the will to raise a child. However, eventhough we do have a lot of single parent households (and they do their best at filling the void of the other parent) a child needs a mother and a father. I do think it is great what you want to do Cris, but, putting a child in that situation voluntarily is not fair to him/her. But hey, many may think its better to have two fathers than no parents.

For someone to say “Oh well a child needs a mother and a father” is just ridiculous. There are MILLIONS of single parents out there raising their children and it has nothing to do with “having a father AND mother” it all boils down to the love that the children recieve. I was raised by a single mother and I turned out just fine, I didnt need a father in order to make it, my mother loved me and took care of me and that is ALL that matters. I would have been just as happy with two mothers or two fathers, and for someone to deny someone adoption becuase of their lifestyle is beyond pathetic. There are millions of children who are in need of a loving family and stable home and if you are able to take care of a child and have everything they will need etc etc and are able to provide them with the basic necessities then you should be able to adopt as many as you want!

I couldnt agree with CJ more, I myself along with my older brother were raised by our mother alone, now 22 and 23 yrs old we are doing great…there was no need nor a desire for a male/father figure our mother had more then enough love that any child could have asked for. I dont think that its right for ANYONE to assume that a child would be in a far better situation with a mother and a father…here you have a loving couple eager to provide for a child who sad to say may be ‘lost’ in the system….its sad to hear stories like this. There are so many loving couples in the world gay and straight that are loving and open to giving the love and life that a lot of these children in foster/orphanges/group homes need…who are we…and more importantly who are they to say…your not good enough to raise this child! I hope that if Chris and BJ do try and apply again that they are met with a different situation and are allowed to adopt a child.

I think he’s a tad young and should wait a few years (unless BJ was going to be the maternal kind of role that would be there when Christian is traveling and very busy with gigs) and when he’s a little older I would be outraged if he gets rejected again! I mean orphanages are filled with too many kids that need LOVE!!!!! He looks like a sweetheart that has lots of Love to give!

This sounds to me like people who say: ” my parents spanked me twice a week and I turned out fine, so it’s a fine method of upbringing.”
There are single parent families because of the circumstances, but both mother and father is best for the children. Crazy not to agree with this.

CJ, I get your point but I think what Jen is trying to say it that she (and I) find it unfair for these children to get two of the same rather than one of each. Referring to two mothers or two fathers rather than one mother and one father. Not that children can’t be raised by a single parent. I think they should literally ask the child and put them through psychiatric care to explain to them what having two fathers/mothers mean. I think they have all the right in this world to have a mother and a father. and some gay couple shouldn’t decide for them! That I find unfair!! To miss out on what a father/mother should be!! You just can’t have it all.

Let’s not forget that there are ALOT of kids that have a mom and dad and those parents abuse and kill them. Plain and simple kids need love, guidance, understanding, patience, etc… doesn’t matter who is giving it to them. Having a mother and father does not mean the child will end up better off than someone who has a single parent, gay parents, etc…

Oh, and I agree with Axxul - basically that he is still kinda young to take on raising a child. But in a few more years, when he has matured a bit so to speak, I don’t see why and his partner can’t raise a child.

I think it’s GREAT that he wants to adopt a baby! I agree though, right now he is busy with the final part of the RBD tour, but once its over he should do it. All they do by denying him the right to adopt, is denying a child a chance at a better life. I say this because I am an adopted child from Paraguay and also the 7th girl of my birthmother. So I was lucky enough to have a better life; Let Christian adopt!!!

WWhile some people nowadays may not have a mother or father, as far as I am concerned, a child needs a mother influence and a father influence. They balance each other out. Too many girls without fathers go looking for men to provide that paternal comfort. Too many girls without mothers go astray. Certainly, not every fatherless or motherless child in the world will share the same fate, but I support the mother and father, man-woman union.
