Congrats to her! I bought my Gran City Pop CD already and I like it! The only thing was that she didn’t include photos, only on the DVD which is not the same.

thats not impressive. its platinum under the SPANISH category, not ALBUM category. Spanish requires 200,000 to be platinum. For ALBUM it needs 1million!

ma.. that is impressive at times like this. Not that many american albums are certified platinum anymore. Furthermore, if you take a minute to consider the population difference between spanish and english speakers it would be the equivalent to like three two million copies. Finally, this does not reflect all the legal downloads she still selling as we speak. So YES, it is kind of a big deal even if someone like you who clearly does not have his/her facts straight goes on the record while misinformed

I think that ma needs to shut up. Latino artists never go platinum unless you are Selena. The highest that the reggaetoneros, Juanes, Vicente F. sell is 500,000 copies, but 200,000 is very surprising knowing that we only make up about 10 percent of the U.S. population and even within that the interest of Latinos range so much. I wish Paulina would have gone straight to number one though!
Aventura is #1
