At The Premiere of Doña Bárbara
TVChismes was at the premiere of the telenovela Doña Bárbara…and it’s apparently good!
No, we’re not really into novelas, but this does give us a chance to talk about Christian Meier, whom we haven’t discussed in a while.
Oh yeah, Edith Gonzalez was there too…she plays the leading lady, but she supposedly doesn’t impress in the role. Ouch!
PS - It’s a rare sight when celebs wear the same thing twice. Christian wore that jacket months ago to another event…fashion sin or permissible???

Ok so I am really into novelas y Like this one is AMAZING! Edith DOES impress us in her role as Doña Barbara..u should watch it=) She looks gorgeous! To play Doña Barbara is a tough role because she’s a woman who’s suffered a lot and has a very strong character.

Edith is a diva when we talk about acting rolls, she look even better as a brunette, the only issue on this novela is that Dona Barbara is supposed to be a morena instead a white one like Edith, someone like Yadira Carrillo black eyes black hair and beautifull for the rest del elenco they are Great!!!!

Edith Gonzalez is a disaster. The problem is, everybody can have in mind the beauty and the talent of Maria Felix.
Edith wants to play the vamp, and she looks ridiculous. Her dresses do not match with the environment.
She would rather had played the girlfriend of Santos, in the city.
To shout a bit does not make you a good actor. Perhaps that is the main problem of Edith: the character should impress, cause fear for her presence. She appears and she causes only laughter.
Christian is also a bad actor, and too old for his role. Santos Luzardo should be clearly younger than Dona Barbara…
Genesis is the only one that appears, until now, to be rather OK.
