Wisin y Yandel Supposedly Plagiarized
Nando Boom, real name Fernando Brown, claims that Wisin y Yandel copied his song Enfermo de Amor for their single Te Sigo Buscando.
Don Omar might also be to blame for this since he supposedly presented the song to W y Y and asked them to sing it.
We’ll have to see how this plays out

To be honest they may seems alike be if you listen closer to the pronunciation there is a difference and just someone looking for a free handout. Besides who cares? Why bring this up now? This song has be out for how long and it’s been on many networks, award shows and on video. Meaning why didn’t this person complaining now do something before? Why wait until after W and Y get the award? You ask me they shouldn’t have signed nothing even if they couldn’t perform. And although these two blame Don Omar, it was them who won the award and instead of being little chickens they should defend their song that they are known for. Clearly again if you listen it is different and this Nando is looking for $ because he is a has been and not out there like Don Omar and W and Y.

Awesome, haters everywhere! The song sounds like any underground song (pre-reggaeton era) from the early 90’s produced in PR. Nando, wake up and smell the roses. You are broke and in desperate need of money!

Although the two songs have strong similarities.. I think it is a bunch of B.S. for Nando to bring this up now after the song has been out for a hot minute… It seems like someone needs their next fifteen minutes of fame and money!! Besides the W y Y song sounders soo much better.

Nando is one of the founder of the genero, for the culicagados that don’t know the story of the Reggaeton. Anyway W Y got arrested in Panama this weekend as soon as they landed in the country for a concert and they were forced to sign an statement by the authorities before their release. THE LAWSUIT IS LEGAL. They deserve to get sued. This song was a major hit back in the late 80’s.
El genero was created in Panama in the late 70.

Nando needs to relax bc this song has been out for what 2,3 years and he wants to bring this up now?!? que es eso!?!?!?! Yea it sounds the same but el resto de la cancion es differente

Nando doesn’t need to relax because even though most of the song is different, they still stuck part of HIS song in their song and didn’t give him credit for it. I am not sure there is even a statute of limitations on something like that so whether Nando waited 2 or 3 years doesn’t matter. Nando probably didn’t even know about it because I doubt he listens to that reggaeton shit.

People, please remember that the lawsuit is NOT questioning the entire song. The lawsuit is because of the Chorus. There is now way we can compare the two songs because they are completely different, but the chorus on both songs is exactly the same. For those that say that Nando is hating and he is just looking for a hand out, Please go ask all the established reggaeton artist (Tito,Yankee,Hector,W&Y,Don,Tego,Vico,Ivy, etc, etc, etc.) who Nando Boom is, you may not know who he is maybe because of your age, but trust me, Many, many, many reggaeton artist en la Isla know who he is. Oh, and by the way, since you are so young and you may not know anything about this, ask any old school DJ that was around when Spanish reggae was introduced in Puerto Rico, what tracks they would use to sing along in the clubs, that is your homework, my little student.

Thank you Elflaco, You know it really burns me up when people try to speak on things and they dont even know the history of what they are talking about, I’ve read most of the statements on this site, and the question is WHO IS NANDO BOOM please in my opinion nando boom is to reggaeton the as peter tosh is to reggae or frankie ruiz is to salsa ( A LENGEND )Nando Boom has given many years of his life to spanish reggae, he is one of the founding fathers of what you would call today reggaeton, If you asked El general he would tell you that it was a honor to share the same stage with nando boom, so for you young people or people who do not know spanish reggae history when you hear the name NANDO BOOM show that man the respect he is do!! and give him 10% of all earnings!! don,w and y.
