Julieta1.jpgMexican singer Julieta Venegas was in Chile yesterday promoting her new album Limon y Sal. She performed for a large group of Chilean schoolchildren and then opened up the mini-concert for some Q&A. Here are a few questions that were asked:

Where are you headed off to next? I am going to Italy. I have never been there before. For me it is a really big deal to be going to Italy. I mean, I’m from Tijuana.

Any suggestions for kids out there trying to be successful singers like you? Be yourself. I think that is the most important thing to do. Just be yourself and people will like that.

What inspires you to write a song? Pretty much everything. I can get inspired by any little thing and am always on the lookout for it.

In other Julieta news, she recently said that there is no beef between her and Pepe Aguilar. She says that he helped her in the beginning of her career but that he doesn’t write for her anymore because she likes to write her own songs now.

I am sure that Julieta hasn’t forgotten that Tiziano is in Italy. Do you think he’ll take the opportunity to kiss up to the Mexican public by having his picture taken with Julieta while she is there?
