Escuchame: Sophia Del Carmen ‘No Te Quiero’
Introducing Sophia Del Carmen.
Her first single, No Te Quiero, features Akon and it’s fun, exciting, and energetic.
The sound of pop in Latin music usually lacks edge but Sophia brings it in her voice and attitude. You can tell she feels the lyrics, but she does so without overdoing it.
You might have already heard her on the radio, but that’s only the beginning.
Listen to it and share your thoughts…

Regardless of how well produced this clip may be… she still lacks:
1. Originality
2. Strong vocals
3. Doesn’t have the “blow you away” factor
I am looking to the day that Latin music can evolve, can dare, can experiment…
You would think Akon would make this song amazing… unfortunately, he doesn’t.
I do however, think it was a smart move to have him on the track.
Best of luck to her, but for me… I just simply wasn’t blown away – not even a bit.

Her voice is ANNOYING! it wouldn’t be that bad if it had another singer but this girl is seriously annoying. How come Akon only likes the talent-less girls? like Dulce Maria and now this broad. We got sooo MANY latin artists with talent and he chooses the worst ones.

This note has nothing to do w/ Dulce. Karen your ANNOYING. Why don’t you get laid so that way you can get all that amargada out. Every time something related to Dulce your always bitching & saying “annoying, annoying”. I bet your a Anohi fan, but you probably won’t admit it cause I’m right. Its ok, shh, go eat some pie you’ll feel better.

Que pena if we all liked the exact same things. Para los gustos se hicieron los colores. Those who like the song fine. Those who don’t – that’s fine also.

Akon needs better management – or he needs to stop hanging out in Miami. This sounds like another bad typical Miami pop production. ” Breath of fresh air ” ? Por favor ! This is the same old crap as always. Also, Iggy Pop should be suing them for copying his song as there is a whole part with his music in it. Latin music is so much more than this dribble, this junk. Support your Latinas – but the ones that deserve it, not this porqueria. This girl should go back to doing whatever it is she does – as singing is not it.

Wow!!! It always amazes me that people are soooo rude particularly when they dont know anything about the Artist. I am a producer who has worked with Sophia Del Carmen for over 5 yrs.. and recently recorded with her to develop her first Single….not the one in reference as the Record Label turned down our song and decided they liked the pop rock sound of “NO Te Queirro” as the direction they wanted for the Artist… They way a track sounds is largely due to the producers and the Label and NOT THE ARTIST! Also, Akon really liked the track…… and lastly I have always enjoyed working with Sophia, she has a kickass voice, she’s very musical, never hits a bad note and works tirelessly for her producers…so until any of you can do what she can and get where she is SHUT THE BLANK UP!

lol some people on this site are so enraged. Its pop music ppl. Pretty girl, catchy tune equals sells. This isnt about music, its about sells! I can assure u kids are going to eat this up. Kids arent focused on musical arrangements or if she can hit a note above middle C. Dont you think if she or the label (I am assuming she is signed) wanted to target an older audience they would have chosen another song and changed her look. This is straight teeny bopper material that translates into sells. Cmon people this industry is a game.

Hey nice song, she has a great voice, I think people should not spend their time talking bad about others , if you like the song well great and if you don’t great too but just don’t go around the world with your jealousy insulting others. Keep on with the great work Sophia!

I’m with vocalguru, until you can get where Sophia is, you can make the rude comments you are typing. Go clean the floors and the toilets in your house. Probably have nothing better to do! Sophia has worked very hard and she’s a contract with Universal Latin for a reason, otherwise, she would still be trying, not taling trash like the rest of you…. good for nothing!
