Escuchame : Jean’s Caribbean Girl
You’ve probably heard Estelle’s infectious American Boy. We love that song.
Well, we now have another take on the song titled Caribbean Girl thanks to Jean.
Jean is an artist that we have supported for quite some time now and it pleases us to see him on top of his game.
We usually don’t like covers as they usually don’t do justice to the original version, but Jean makes us smile with all of his Caribbean and Latin references.
PS - Fun fact. Jean is Luis Fonsi’s brother.

I am from Barbados. All he is singing about Puerto Ricans and Cubans like that is all the Caribbean, and I am pretty annoyed about that.
Note to the wise: THEY ARE OTHER CARIBBEAN GIRLS THAT ARE NOT SPANISH. Just to let you know.

Ok i do have to say, yes it is not that original but how many times have we seen artists take the same things such as beat and similar lyrics? Truly this is not a new concept
And to address concerns about how he only addresses hispanics with reference to the Caribbean, I think its solely how he relates because he is hispanic, i doubt his intention is to diminish the Caribbean status of other females in the Caribbean.
