Luis Miguel Must Pay For Plagiarism
Remember a while back we told you about Luis Miguel being sued for plagiarism?
Well, he and his record label, Warner Music, have been trying to fight it for quite some time, but the court has found them guilty and gave them 15 days to come up with a fair amount to pay Marcos Lifshitz, the composer of the song Siento Nuestro Aliento, released as Amarte Es Un Placer.
We like Lusmi, but Marcos better not settle for anything small. He deserves to get paid!

Distrito Federal— Luis Miguel, el compositor Juan Carlos Calderón y la disquera Warner Music México no tendrán que indemnizar a Marcos Lifshitz, como lo había ordenado el año pasado el magistrado José Guadalupe Sánchez, para reparar el daño moral por plagio del tema ‘Amarte es un Placer’.
Esto, debido a que Calderón promovió un amparo ante el Décimo Primer Tribunal Colegiado en Materia Civil, que le fue concedido el 4 de abril.
Una semana después, dicho tribunal notificó al magistrado Sánchez, quien en breve dictará un nuevo fallo sobre esta disputa de más de siete años.
