Did Luis Miguel Say No To ALAS?
We’re hearing rumors that Luis Miguel was approached by the ALAS foundation in hopes that he would join the top tier artists in performing at the ALAS Concierto Por Los Niños in Mexico City or Buenos Aires…and he supposedly said NO!
Gross! We really hope this isn’t true.
We know, just because he is a recording artist doesn’t mean he has to participate in events that benefit others…but it is disappointing.

An artist of his level of talent does not share the venue. He probably gives to his own charity (lets hope)privately and doesnt do those kinds of shows. Or, he was busy….

Maybe unlike other artists, he does not like to get publicity because of his charity work!!! For all we know Luis Miguel probably made a big private donation to ALAS!!

A huge donation to alas? yeah right.. An artist of his level?? wtf …
This concert was not about publicity.. ‘Cause we all know that the artist that were there are always helping children and foundations… He should learn a thing or two from the people that went donated their time and did the concerts…

the concert wasnt about publicity. it was about helping kids. even if he does donate, his presence would have been great for many for inspiration and to prove he does care. money isnt everything. alas didnt ask him for money they asked for his support and participation.

IF they did asked him and IF he said but not instead he sent money to donate to the charity there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. At the end of the day it is a charity and MONEY is what makes it work. Now remember that this are all IF’s we dont know for sure if IF was approached and IF he declined to be there.

He does things his way and the main thing - he does not share the stage with anybody. Well, he was not the only one who did not perform for ALAS. Talk about other missing artists.

“it is disappointing”? Let’s see, the proceeds from the sale of “Navidades Luis Miguel” were going to some charity to help childen in mexico. What the difference does it make: participate in the charity concert or sell cd for the charity? It’s just a different way. I bet that none of you bought “Navidades”. I would not go to ALAS concert for free to see Shakira, Sanz and the rest of the constellation, but I bought “Navidades”.

I I think Luis is a bottom tier artist myself so he doesn’t belong on the top tier with Ricky, Shakira etc… These concerts don’t have room for his big ego.

The thing with Martha Sanchez was disgunting to hear that he would not talk to her dying sister, even when they knew each other from before, so Iwould not be surprised that he did this..Like Mexican boy wrote he didn’t care about his own daughter…but I know I will never spend a peso in Luis Miguel, he does not deserve my money.

I can say the same about Mariah Carey, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin and any cntemporary pop singer. It all depend on your taste and the substance that you are looking. This post is about rumor that was not published anywere, has no prove to be true. These type of concerts are pure publicity and Luis Miguel does not need it to sell his albums.
