I kinda think the same thing. If Marc left one woman for you, what makes you think he won’t do the same or that he’s necessarily changed?
I’m shocked though. I kinda felt like they were a good match in terms of the type of personalities they both have. Like, they can have a stomp-down, drag-out fight, and still be in love with each other.

I’m sorry for all involved, but let’s be honest, we all know Marc Anthony was the “rebound” dude!! Let’s not forget how IN LOVE Jen was with Ben Affleck and how heart broken she was over the end of their engagement!! How long after that did Marc’s long time dream finally come true??? Marc tried for years to get Jen and he finally caught her in a moment of vulnerabliity… too bad sooooo sad, Marc Anthony!! Karma is a BITCH!!!

Lola, I really don’t think she was ever in love with Ben. She was heart broken because she didn’t get the leading (white) man.
Jennifer and Marc had a thing before (or while) he was with Dayanara when they recorded/filmed the “No me Ames” song/video, but she was with someone (Show de Cristina). He got with Dayanara on the rebound and became frustrated when Jennifer was single and he wasn’t. It became a novela-Un clavo (no) saca otro clavo. LOL
All in all, she is in love with herself and the idea of being married. I know Puffy and Ben are glad they didn’t marry her. LOL

You guys are full of crap. Marc left his first wife in 2003 and they applied for divorce in jan 2004.
JLO was dating Ben Affleck up until march 2004. She started dating Marc in May and married him 2 months later. Thought i was just destroy you haters lol.

Carlos, hate to burst your bubble but Marc and Jenn have a long history together – since way before Dayanara. If you really believe they just started dating in May ’04 and there was never anything else going on before that; I have a bridge to sell in NY. LOL
There were clues this breakup was coming. Lately his affection towards her at public events seemed, for lack of better words, not genuine / forced. Then he didn’t walk the red carpet with her at the function with Prince William & Kate – she walked it with her mom.
I’m not a Jlo fan at all – but, for lack of better words, I think they personally had a certain chemistry together / strong attraction to each other. In the end, they lasted longer than I think many people thought they would.

Also Carlos, she married Marc in June ’04 not July ’04, as your post would suggest. So you really think they only dated for a month before getting married? There was a long history there – the intense feelings for / attraction to each other didn’t just pop up and intensify in one month.
In addition, when he and Dayanara were getting divorced Rosie O’Donnell (who is a close friend of his) stated that many of the songs on his English CD (which was released in 1999) were about Jenn. He himself admitted that The song “You Sang To Me” was about Jenn. You might wanna check out the lyrics to that song.

In my opinion, I genuinely believe that there is true love and a true friendship. Marriages are so hard to be in but when there is love there are sacrifices. I’m no one to pass judgment but I feel that both have fought to be successful and created such beautiful children that evolved from love. I hope that they both had the same determination to fight for their marriage and allow themselves the opportunity. It’s also hard when two strong people are together but it appears that Jennifer loves him but Mark needs to also respect women and learns to say no to others and other circumstances.
It is not about the past the past has come and gone it’s about the present! Both came with histories and both new that it was going to be hard to make the marriage work. It’s funny that while the marriage was kept away the public eye it appeared to work but something came about when Marc became know in the US market thanks to Jennifer. I like their musical careers but if divorce is the solution to their indifferences then so be it.

In 1998, after introduced at a charity gala, Dayanara (Yari), was invited to sit at Marc’s table. She followed his lead, also ignoring the woman who sat next to him (Jennifer Lopez) ; they were dating at the time. She was among those thanked by the organization (“Casas para mi Pueblo”)for their help. Eventually, Jen became tearful, got up and left the table. It’s odd that Yari has denied ever meeting Jen ,when asked by the press. Maybe a photo can help jog her memory.
Later, when Yari dated Marc, she was upset whenever he showed signs of missing Jennifer, his last girlfriend. Maybe it would have helped if they slowed down the wedding dance, allowing him more time to get over his sense of loss. Yari was only 26 then; why the hurry?
It’s been assumed that Marc’s decision to divorce Yari followed his reunion w/ Jennifer. (Therefore, blame Jen ?). But the dates don’t support it. It was October 2003 (not 2004) when the media released Marc & Yari ‘s statement of their intention to divorce.
Not only that, Jennifer was still w/ Ben in Oct. 2003, not w/ Marc. Ben and her spent part of the month in Georgia (PEOPLE mag ). She was trying to convince him to reschedule their wedding, which had been canceled only a few weeks before. They almost re-set the wedding date : An application for a new license was filled out in Ga, but not submitted. Three months later, when Ben kept dragging his feet, Jen decided her only choice was to end the
relationship.
Jennifer and Marc resumed dating again in 2004, after Dayanara filed for divorce. While that proceeded, Marc was technically a “married” man, and Yari was berating her for it. However, so were men like singer Frankie J. (2005) and actor Terrence Howard (2005-2006) : both separated and in the process of getting divorced (and both dating Yari, also divorced); Terrence also had three school-age children at the time. Things aren’t always as they seem. The press had given her a “pass”.
