JLO and Marc.jpgJennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are on a roll lately. They claim that legendary dead singers contact them from beyond the grave, their film sold for $5 million, and now they are making music for the United Nations International Day of Peace.

This is all fine and dandy, and normally you could insert numerous amounts of praise about the two, but notice that there isn’t any. Why, you may ask? Because they’d rather do it themselves. Oh yes, these two are not shy about picking up the horn and tooting it for each other.

Jen on Marc: “I always knew Marc was a fantastic actor,” Lopez told E! Online. “Nobody could sing like that with all that passion and all that feeling (and not be).”

Marc on Jen: “I’ve been in the business 27 years, and I’ve never met anybody with such laser focus and clarity. I’m more laid-back, Hectorian, and it’s just fascinating to me. She does not do anything halfway. That’s really a virtue, I think.”

This doesn’t really have the effect of, say, a total stranger giving compliments. This is like Santa Clause talking about how great Rudolph is. No effect. None. Sure, it is nice to hear Santa talk nice about his reindeer, but you’ll get more out of letting others do it instead. I love Santa.
