We were very excited to hear Shakira’s new single Loca and loved the creativity and uniqueness.

Well, it turns out there was no real creativity behind it at all…at least not from Shaki!

You see, the song is a few years old!! It was originally sung by El Cata and upon hearing it you’ll realize that Shakira doesn’t sample it, she covers it because it’s basically IDENTICAL!!

It doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a hot song, but it’s just not from Shakira’s artistic flow.

Shakira, Wisin y Yandel, Aventura, Pitbull, Camila and Daddy Yankee compete in the first-ever Tr3s Latino Artist of the Year category at the MTV Video Music Awards 2010.

No, the winner won’t be announced on the actual telecast (buuu), instead the reveal will happen during the transmission of the VMAs on Tr3s.

So, basically, this is smart marketing to get the Tr3s name out there and invite people to click on their channel.

Who will win??! Hmmm.

The dancing isn’t anything new we’ve seen from Shaki, but the song, rumored to be titled Loca/Hell’s Angel, sounds like a hit!

It’s basically merengue-pop in English. Brilliant!

Shakira filmed her new video in Barcelona.

She rollerskates on the beach, rides in the back of a motorcycle in leather, and jumps in the fountain to splash around.

Well, she might actually be in trouble for this shoot.

You see, she apparently didn’t get a permit to do certain things (jump in a public fountain and ride the bike without the helmet) so she may be fined for it.
