Enrique Iglesias Would Like To Sing Bachata
Enrique Iglesias landed in the Dominican Republic on his private plane to perform tonight in Santo Domingo.
When asked if he liked bachata, Enrique said:
“I love bachata. I would like to have one in my next album. I like Aventura, they make a great combination with romantic songs. It’s really good bachata pop.”
If Alejandro Fernandez can sing vallenato, why can’t Enrique do bachata?

Q - i thought the same, wait E.I. has a private jet but someone like Naomi Campbell has to bum it on commercial flights? Makes no sense to me - shrug.
But to go off on a tangent and since you mentioned vallenato LG, does anyone know what Carlos Vives, the pop-vallenato king, has been up to? As in will he ever release another album?

He bought that plane a few years back.
He isn’t a billionaire, but he does have a lot of mula. He signed a $40 million deal with Universal and gets royalties from songs, big paychecks from concerts, plus, in this past, it was reported that he has been paid one million dollars to sing at private events.
That adds up to a nice amount…
As for Carlos Vives…he’s been dealing a lot with his divorce. It has taken years to finalize everything. Hopefully, we’ll see him back on the stage soon.

He has also been paid $80 million dollars by Pepsi to endorse them in the past. He gets paid 1.5million to sing at private concerts.(he did a few last fall). He also owns the masters to his first 3 albums. so unlike singers who can’t write their own songs Enrique actually makes money from album sales.

From what I remember the Pepsi deal was reported as $50 million not $80 million. It should be noted Enrique has other business things going on for him outside the Pop Music career.

What all you people don’t know is that Enrique Iglesias’s father (Julio Iglesias) is SUPER famous and SUPER rich…he’s been in the music industry for more than 30 years and is known as the BIGGEST latin singer ever. He’s the only artist in the world that has a diamond record. Enrique must get millions of dollars from his father.
