Rosana Franco Fired From Univision
Yes, it’s very true.
Rosana Franco was fired from Univision.
The sportscaster had been with the network for 13 years and she was let go for no apparent reason.
The odd thing is that Univision is preparing to launch a 24-hour sports channel and honestly Rosana knows A TON about sports – so why would they get rid of her??
We figured she’d be perfect for the around-the-clock sports channel!

Damn LG, this happened last week. Do you need me to start sending you tips to keep you up date on matters.
She got fired because she is an older woman and unfortunately, Univsion wants hot young women to bring in the male audience. Did you see the woman they got to replace her. She’s smoking hot.
This is bad because Rosana had a ton of experience and got fired just because she is old and not hot and young anymore. Very wrong. If I was her I would sue.
Here’s another piece of news. Write about El Gordo Y La Flaca changing their set design for the second time in less than 6 months. Someone behind the scenes must be losing patience with them. This happened with Noche De Perros too and they were canceled last month.

It seems univision is firing anyone over the age of 40. Unfortunately for univision they are also the ones with actual talent. This was seriously a stupid decision. Anyways, who they should fire is Don Francisco, I know his a legend and all, but dude is soooo boring, not funny at all, poor thing is a drag to watch. He, himself, looks bored while hosting.

E L Hilton…..very well put. Univision needs to shape up it’s programming and take note that talent comes in all ages. How are the young ones coming into the world of entertainment learn if not from those with the experience. Something you don’t usually have at an early age. SHAME ON UNIVISION! Univision really sucks. For the past years they have fired many seasoned reporters who are very professional and very good anchors. I stopped watching Univision because of that reason. The new faces of Univision are terrible. Pretty but no brains or talent. Yawn!!!

Folks, Univision is doing exactly what its customary at its gringo parent network, i.e. getting rid of anyone — no matter how talented — who is perceived as ‘not young, hip and hot enough.’ This is something I told my wife and family would take place as soon as it was announced a few years ago that Univision and Telemundo had been acquired by the gringo networks that now own and control them, the gringos’ concept of the personal value of the elderly is the opposite of ours (Latinos/Hispanics,) we value our parents and grand-parents and expect such a family oriented tradition to be respected by the media, the gringos consider their elderly to be inconvenient baggage, I’m not surprised in the least that “our” *cough* *cough* networks, are doing exactly as they are told to do by their gringo masters.

They fired Rosana, Arau, Nidia, Canseco, and a whole lot more of great talent they have knuckle heads, arrogant inepts running a TV company that was built by great talented people who were let go because of their age (Very Illegal In The U.S.)
All the motivational gurus Tony Robbins, Ken Blanchard, Brian Tracy and others teach leaders never humiliate people, Univision doesn’t right and left but their date is coming when the entertainment world will do the same to them to.

I am Mexican American college educated here and in Mexico. A government worker of 32 years, and private sector 10 years, very political savy in the area of Human Resources. I see on other sites people do not know about “Ay Ta” in Northern part of Mexico (my part) means Hay Esta as she motions to her upcoming clip. She was very seasoned and knowledgeable..shame they let her go. But politics as with FOX, get rid of older and in with young who will not think twice about hitting the road when they get offered better. Don Francisco is a great humanitarian and person. Shame on those that just make superficial comments. Only good thing is that those that made that decision will see themselves in the same boat years on. As life goes, you either get older or you just make a young and beautiful corpse. No other choice in life.

I forgot to mention. If you saw the special on the Pope’s visit to Mexico, Maria Antonieta Collins, as she did her special on the Pope’s visit made it a point to introduce her daughters expertise in Sports…(I do not blame this mother staging her daughter). But I saw it coming then, I knew, my experience with political issues told me that she was being prepped to take somebody’s place. Rosana passed my mind on it.

I am amazed to see that Rosana Franco is no longer with Univision. I am disliking Unvision anyways. They let go of great people who are very talented. I believe Univision is going down completely. It was disappointing to see Neida Sandoval go as well as Ana Maria Canseco and Fernando Arau. The people of Univision should have alot of shame. I hope Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas are not next to be let go. Those are the best news anchors in the business and I grew watching them in the 80′s, 90′s, and now and with out a doubt the best.

I miss Rosana on the Univision Sports. She was terrific. So cruel to fire her because of her age. What a mistake. Remember how wine is better when it’s been aged, so are humans. La Comadre was so great. They did not appreciate her.
