Rafael Nadal Wins Wimbledon
Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer to become the new Wimbledon champion!
Several weeks ago, Rafael won the French Open as well…this is the first time since 1980 that someone has won both Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year.
Of his win, Rafael said:
“It’s impossible to explain what I felt when I won. I’m just very happy to win this title. I never thought I could win but to do so is a dream.”
He also showed his modesty when speaking of Roger:
“He’s still the number one, he’s still the best. He is a five-time champion and I have just the one.”
