Oscar De La Hoya’s Last Fight in 2008
Oscar De La Hoya has announced that 2008 is his last year as a professional boxer. He said:
“All I know for sure is that my last fight with a great opponent will be in December. I know what my body and mind can still do. I know what I have to do everyday, that’s why I put a lot of effort into the passion that I feel for this sport.”
What we really want to know is if he plans on focusing on his other passions…music maybe? fishnet stockings perhaps?

I think December will be his last fight for sure. He will fight Mayweather Jr. in September. Fight between the De la hoya and Mayweather Sr vs Mayweather Jr and the brother. In Decemeber there are talks of Cotto but I honestly think fighting against Chavez Jr. would be the best option. Another fight full of drama as Jr trys to avenge his fathers defeat.
