Olympic Spotlight on Guillermo Alvarez
With the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics right around the corner, we decided that we wanted to feature a few Latinos that are representing the United States in different events.
We’ll start with Guillermo Alvarez, who graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in psychology and will be competing in gymnastics.
He was awarded the NCAA Nissen-Emery Award as an outstanding senior collegiate gymnast, college gymnastics’ highest honor.
This boy loves his ethnic food…his favorite food? Stuffed, oversized burritos! Mmm.
