Olympic Spotlight on Brenda Villa
Today we want to introduce you to Brenda Villa…one of the most important names in American women’s water polo.
She’s already competed twice in the Olympics and will look to add a gold medal to the silver she earned in 2000 and the bronze she earned in 2004.
Villa led the U.S. in scoring at the 2000 Olympic Games with nine goals, the 2003 World Championships with 13 goals and the 2004 Olympics Games with seven goals.
Villa attended Stanford and scored 69 goals her freshman year so it was no surprise that she was eventually named the NCAA women’s water polo Player of the Year.
We wish Brenda all the best in Beijing!
