F94508A2-4E51-46E0-BF28-1F34930C3BAFMariano Rivera has been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

This is significant for many reasons.

The New York Yankees closer was chosen in his first eligible year, something not all players do, but more impressively, he received 100 percent of the votes.

No other player in the game’s history had been inducted by unanimous decision, that’s 425 votes.

His extraordinary statistics have earned him the title of the greatest of all time as a reliever, and his classy demeanor just adds to the admiration towards Mo by fans and peers, on and off the field.

This is such a proud moment for the Panamanian great, but also for Latinos in general.
