SieteNueve Attacks Daddy Yankee For McCain Loving
The battle for President of The United States is intensifying with every day that passes, and us Latinos are smack in the middle of the drama.
Our vote is as powerful as ever and both candidates are vying for the support of our people.
The Latin entertainment world is also heating up. As was widely publicized, Daddy Yankee has endorsed John McCain, but not without taking some heat for that public display of affection…and it continues.
Hip-hop artist SieteNueve has released a song titled Quédate Callao which attacks Daddy and his decision to back McCain.
Check it out…

Celebrities and there hipocrisy really piss me off sometimes. How dare these people criticize Daddy Yankee for who he has decided to endorse. I thought everyone is entitiled to there own opinion; but now what all latinos need to have the same mind and vote for the same person. Give me a f*****g break. Because one person does not agree with your same political standings it doesn’t make them ignorant nor does it mean they don’t know what they are talking about. If anyone is ignorant it’s the people who are over here putting others down trying to opress their opinions.

You know Veronica, I share your frustration. Personally, while I commend celebrities for getting out the message that it’s important to vote, they should not publicly endorse anyone. Who you vote for should be between you and that curtain in the voting booth. However, since they insist on publicly airing their endorsements, then they need to respect each other’s opinions and not call each other out because of who they endorse. So what if Daddy Yankee endorsed McCain? Should he get his panties in a bunch because Fat Joe and others are for Obama? Come on people, vote for who you want but do not get upset when others don’t agree with your choice. Fat Joe and those who have spoken against Daddy Yankee for his choice have only succeeded in demonstrating their lack of class and level of maturity, and instead have showcased how intolerant they are of those who do not share their views. It’s a free country…live with it.

I am a Latina woman backing McCain. It’s way past time we think for ourselves and vote our own ideological convictions. I am tired of the old party-line politics. I am fiscally conservative and believe minorities have been more crippled than helped with handouts and programs that do nothing to educate, prepare, or give people hope that they can do it on their own initiative and hard work. I don’t need anyone giving me anything that I don’t work for, and while I am totally in favor of helping those in true need, I had a dad who didn’t go past fourth grade and a mom who made it to her junior year before she dropped out. That did not stop my parents from emphasizing education, hard work, and setting goals for their children to get ahead in this country while maintaining that no one owed us anything. We’re in the mess we are because we have become an entitlement society where we sit around and wait for someone to give us what we deserve. I may not understand why someone would vote for Obama who has lots of rhetoric but no real plan to make it happen, but that is, at the end of the day, your prerogative. Celebrities have a right to their opinion as well, but being a celebrity does not mean that what they think is any more important than what the regular American thinks…they just get airplay. I for one, am not waiting for an entertainer to guide me in whom to vote for.
