Cristian Castro Did Not Commit Suicide
It was announced on the radio in Miami (La Kalle 98.3 FM) that Cristian Castro committed suicide.
It was all part of a tasteless April Fool’s joke.
Gross. Suicide is nothing to joke about EVER!
Everyone knows we have a sense of humor…but this just isn’t funny. Period.

I guess they were so desperate for ratings that they decided to toy with someone’s life! The ONLY reason I turned to that station was because a friend of mine called me telling me what she heard. This is low, even for a station like that. Not funny at all and you need to hire some new writers. They are obviosuly all out material. They are so ignorant that only they found their tasteless joke amusing!!!

Stupidity doesn’t have limits, but it shouldn’t be allowed on a radio station, not even as an April Fool’s joke. I hope to soon read that they were sanctioned. I was going through radio stations and I listened to this… some fans called crying… what a shame to other professionals.
This type of sick joke/comment could send anyone over the edge, imagine a public figure going through a rough time, did they think of that?

These people are all correct, to joke on someone’s life like this is not a matter of laughter. On a separate note, I think he really does go after publicity.

Who was the dimwit that thought this would be funny? And, as sometimes has happened in the past, family members have found out of their loved one’s death through the media. Can you imagine if any of his family members, or worse his mom, had heard this and thought it was true!? Can you imagine what they would have felt only to find out it was a joke? He may be an idiot but, at the end of the day, he is still someone’s family - son, brother, father, cousin. You just don’t play around with stuff like people dying.

It appalls me to think these shock radio people have sunk so low. This should be dealt with with a massive law suit . I hope Christian Castro’s people consider it.
I can only imagine what could’ve happened if somebody from his family with a heart condition heard this stupidity.
This shows lack of respect for the public and lack of creativitiy. How much fun it was when years ago a local rock music station played only country music all morning…we were all amused and they got us fooled. That is an April’s fools joke.
What La Kalle did was beyond what I’m able to mutter right now and I hope that the FCC gives them a huge fine.

Okay, seriously people. This was just outrageous; completely distasteful and cruel! These people should be taken off the air, period. If something like this had been said about a brother, the African American community would be outraged as should we! Christian should sue and demand an apology on the air by the owner(s) of this piece of crap station.

That wasn’t funny. They should think about the effect it can hold on people who look up to Christian as a person and as an artist. Someones life shouldn’t be played with in that manner, for those who think this was amusing, we as a majority know your character now, and its sad. Yes, it is good and a relief that he did not truly kill himself, but the after taste of such a joke is nothing desirable in any means. I remember last year they joked about Enrique Santos dying in a car accident, which even made me sad. Thats already getting old and if its ratings they are searching for, try being yourself and use more originality. We already like the guys, it is needless to have to play a prank such as that to have people tune in. Thats all I care to say.

How in the world these people can actually have a spot on the radio?
It goes to show you the kind of culture we have in this city, there are many many latins who come here to better ourselves, but these two clowns of the radio are nothing but vulgar and tasteless!
They must be desseperated for ratings, if they got kicked out from the other station, why they allowed them to come back?
I personally will never tune in to la Kalle during their program, I feel ashame of them!

How can you compare Fidel Castro (a criminal, dictator, etc…) to Cristian Castro. Fidel Castro Dead would be something to party about. The so called “joke” about Cristian Castro’s death, shame on this radio station and the people that thought it was funny. Some times I wonder how certain people make it in this world.

The comment of Andrea from Guadalajara topped them all! Thinking about it very carefully SHE’S RIGHT. She’s right about making us mother’s think. Despite the fact this was not a joke I agree no one should use life or death in such a manner, much less directing themselves at a human being! We should all live under the theory TREAT AS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED! I doubt very seriously they would like for someone to do that to them or a loved one! That’s being VERY INSENSITIVE!!
