J.Lo really needs to stop with these dumb songs. Madonna is a genius, and the numbers prove that, but J.Lo is not of Madonna’s caliber, clearly. She’s like Mariah Carey, stuck en su mejor epoca, unable to evolve from it. Jenny from the black was cute back in the day, but she can’t be Jenny from the block forever. J.lo fails at being trendy and relevant.

This is how this show always is. Chelsea also has a Hispanic Sidekick ” Chuy” and he is constantly picked on by her and other guest by his height and accent but that is the humor in it and you don’t see everyone defending him.

Sofia was married at 18 and had her son at about age 20. Her son is not the result of a rape at age 13.

The 13 comment was supposed to be a joke. Sometimes we can’t stop our inner voice, which should stay just there, inside. It’s happened to all of us at one time or another in out lives.

She looks good for her age and for having an 18 year old son. Sherry says you had him at 12, basically joking that that is why she still looks young (because typically in society if you have a teenager or older child; they usually expect you to look like some old hag or something). Sophia tried to play along with the joke, but chose the wrong words.

It’s an awkward moment, to say the least, and it will be interesting what the fall out will be - because most likely there will be a bit since the The View is highly watched in this country.

Sofia didn’t joke, she justed stated it as a fact. It’s the audience that laughed. If she wants to share how her son was conceived that’s her perogative.
I think Julie and Sofia are “buddies” but the reference to the kitchen help was insensitive and overboard. It reminds me of the Debbie Reynolds comment about hispanics being gardeners (if I recall it correctly).
