NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises announced a partnership with musical.ly to develop and launch a series of new digital entertainment programs targeting Hispanic members of Generation Z, the post-millennial, predominantly bilingual, tech-native generation.

The partnership will feature a variety of original shows, the first being “The Cheese,” an entertainment and pop culture show.

It premieres on the musical.ly app on Saturday, March 24. The eight-episode weekly show will deliver fun, insightful and relatable conversations centered around the hottest, most fascinating Hispanic and general market pop culture stories of the day.

The show will be hosted by musical.ly influencer Jessica Flores and Telemundo digital host Christian Acosta. The show will consist of three main segments: “Top Three Stories of the Week,” “Rising Hispanic Stars,” and “What Would Abuela Say?” a segment where the hosts will ask “musers” (musical.ly followers) “What Would Your Grandmother Say?” about the latest hot topics.

Telemundo is not falling asleep at the wheel!
