Many Famosos Show Support to Padre Alberto
People aren’t really sure what to make of the whole Padre Alberto scandal.
Although many feel betrayed and disappointed, he didn’t commit any crimes.
Some famosos who have supported him throughout his career continue to stand by his side.
Cristina Saralegui said:
“Alberto, married or not married, will continue being the super-father that he is.”
Emilio Estefan believes that the rules of the church should be changed to adapt with the times.

What Father Alberto did was what a normal man would do. Yes, he should have resigned before he began having an amorous relationship. It would have been better for him. No gossip, no stress. But, we are not perfect, only God is. Who are we to judge him? Who among us dare throw the first stone.
To be celibate is only a rule from the “Roman” Catholic Church, and the practice surfaced in the Dark Ages, before that priests could marry. Now there are many other Catholic churches–not Roman– that do not follow the celibate rule.
The Bible says: Creced y multiplicaos.
May he marry and have wonderful kids.
Good luck to him and to the young woman who is lucky enough to have his love.

He is a disgrace and it makes me ashamed to be Catholic when it is men like this that ruin the church for the rest of us. I am ashamed that the Catholic church continues to cover for these men who live by their own rules and have relations with women, who molest children, and who abuse their positions.
He should have respectfully left the church when he realized he had feelings for this woman. Instead, he decided to live his life in secret and in sin. How can he preach the gospel when he has a secret life and lives a lie! He stated that he loves G-d and that the woman he is with loves G-d. A woman that loves G-d doesn’t test the vows of a man of G-d. As for him, he can love G-d and not be a priest. In my opinion, he should make a life with this woman. He should resign and not lie to his congregation or himself. If he keeps his robes, he will continue to live by his own rules and not those of the church.
