isaac+leeIsaac Lee is out of Univision.

The head of programming for the network has been deemed a risk-taker and innovator but some say he is to blame for Univision’s string of failures.

Isaac was the brains behind the acquisition of sites like Gizmodo and The Onion – which are up for sale because they did not meet expectations.

Isaac was also the leader behind the collaboration network called Fusion, between Univision and ABC, but that sank like a stone.

Univision has been suffering in recent years and many point fingers at Isaac. However, there is something to say about trying something different and taking the plunge.

Either way, he is out so it will be interesting to see which direction the network takes next.
