barbie+frida+mattelKids around the world will soon be able to own a Barbie doll bearing the likeness of Frida Kahlo.

Mattel is recognizing the Mexican artist for her unique painting style and feminist activism.

The dolls is a part of the company’s new series called “Inspiring Women” which will be mass produced and sold in stores.

Other women like Amelia Earhart and Katherine Johnson have also been turned into these homage dolls.

Mattel released a statement saying “As a brand that inspires the limitless potential in girls, Barbie will be honoring its largest line up of role models timed to International Women’s Day, because we know that you can’t be what you can’t see.”

Professional golfer Lorena Ochoa will also be included in this inspiring collection.
