Fey Is On Her Own
Fey is an independent woman.
We hear that she had an amicable split from her record label, Mi Rey Music, and that she is now 100% on her own in regards to management of her career and the creation and distribution of her albums.
Honestly, we only heard a hiccup from Fey this past year in the US with her new album and she seemed to have a hard time getting the attention of her own fans.
Maybe she needed a change to make a bigger splash and hopefully this time she comes back with a hotter single than Lentamente.
Suerte, Fey!

Her mistake was taking a long brake from music and also making that cd with covers from Mecano.
I hope she cames back with something really good.

I disagree with Sandie, the cd with the Mecano covers was a big success both in Mexico and the U.S., but mostly in Mexico.
The problem with her record label is that it is an independent music label meaning that it is hard to get access to her new cd at average stores like Target or FYE. I had to buy my copy at Amazon after months of looking.
The new cd was also a huge success in Mexico and she finally got a number one single in that country again! But U.S. Latinos have very different interests as ppl back in Latin America.
For example, Banda and Duranguense do not sell cds in Mexico, but they do in the U.S. b/c most of the people in the U.S. come from very disadvantaged backgrounds. Whereas in Mexico, the “cool” music or ppl who could afford to buy cds buy the Pop and Electronic music cds.

I agree with Luis. I was under the impression that Mi Rey Musica was supposed to get a larger company to distribute it. It clearly did not work that way which is a shame because it is a pretty solid album.
She should work more on performing and touring. No body can afford not to these days and her fans want to connect, there does not have to be so much difficulty in it.

actually fey is doing a us gay latino club tour next month. u can check the club papi website for details. let’s be honest fey is a 90s has been. she’s lucky her new album has even got this much attention. it’s a shame though because back when she was at her peak, i couldn’t stand her. but ever since VERTIGO (her best album imo) i’ve grown to become a fan (except for that awful mecano covers album). her new cd wasn’t that bad. i enjoyed it more and more after a few listens.
