Emilio Navaira in Critical Condition
Tejano star Emilio Navaira is currently fighting for his life in a Houston hospital.
The singer was thrown through the windshield of the bus he was traveling in after it was involved in an accident with two other vehicles early Sunday morning.
We pray for his recovery as well as everyone else involved…
UPDATE: “He is still critically ill. There is a chance he may not make it. Everyone needs to understand that right up front. That’s how bad this is. And the recovery will take a long time.” said Dr. Alex Valadka with Memorial Hermann Hospital.

It’s been reported that he underwent surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain and, unfortunately at this time, the doctor’s are giving him a 20% chance of survival. But, people have made amazing recoveries in the past; so just keep praying for him and hope this all turns out well.

He stated that Emilio’s brother went down to the lobby of the hospital, and invited them upstairs to be with the family for a while. While they were talking, the doctor invited the family into the room - Emilio had opened his eyes. They stated further that the doctors asked him to move his fingers and toes and he was able to do so. The doctors will give an official update to the media later today.
He stated the family has asked that everyone continue praying for Emilio because this was a miracle they were experiencing.
Ana Canseco was almost crying as yesterday was the 9th birthday of Emilio’s daughter, and the daughter had previously stated that all she wanted for her birthday, basically, was for her dad to open his eyes. His daughter was at the hospital yesterday when this happened.
We’ll have to wait and see what the doctor’s say, but this is a ray of hope. Lord knows he will probably have a very long recovery road ahead of him; but I’m sure his family is grateful for that considering what could have been.
