But Carmen is drama and bipolar. People don’t know half of her true person. Fernando hasn’t said anything about her to the public and hasn’t bashed her in any such way. He has kept his professionalism in all this- and in my opinion, she has not.
So for Carmen to come out and to keep talking about their divorce it’s like “ya mamita- it’s over because you wanted it to be over” but yet she is still making comments trying to get commoners on her side . Due to her being bipolar people like that – that do not take their medicine and want to make a point will do whatever it takes.
I’m sure Univision viewed all legal aspects with their lawyers before making this decision. They wouldn’t have fired her if she didn’t do something to break her contract or do something they told her not to do. I applaud them to sticking to their guns instead of letting their talent run all over them.

1) The incident were Fernando hit her happened in Dominican Republic, the police came and a lot of people saw, heard, witnessed the chaos in the hotel. If she would have pressed charges, she would have to stay there, find a lawyer there, it would have been a bigger mess. Instead, she came back home, found a lawyer and got a divorce. I probably would’ve done the same.
2) Univisions doesn’t fire Fernando because he has a contract and there’s nothing in it that says that he can get fired for his personal behavior; on the other hand, there IS a clause which it stipulates that they can’t talk to the press about their personal life, that’s why Carmen got fired. I think Carmen knew this could happen, but she’s so sick of Univisions’ support to her now ex-husband that she wanted to send them a message.

Getting people to believe such a thing is shamefully difficult today, and I know from experience how much courage it takes for a man in our society to admit that he is afraid of his wife’s violent temper. I was told by a police officer from the Family Violence Unit (notice how it doesn’t say “Husband/Male Violence Unit”?) of our city police dept. that I was putting my life at risk by staying in the relationship.
I think both Carmen and Fernando need to check out some AA and Al-Anon meetings, cause they’re BOTH screwed up! I just want men and women reading this to know that it is not an easy thing to have to decide whether or not to speak the truth when you are both male and physically attacked. It is entirely possible that both parties have done some bad stuff and violence is violence, and violence is wrong; not wrong for only one gender, but just plain WRONG.
