Calle 13 VS Ivy Queen
It’s war between Calle 13 and Ivy Queen!
The boys never appreciated the fact that Ivy complained about them winning Latin Grammys, because she believes that it should go to other reggaetoneros.
Residente told Primera Hora:
“She’s been a hypocrite with me. She’ll say hi and then she says these negative things later on. And I’m left saying, ‘My God, I can’t believe it.’”
On the new Calle 13 album, a portion of the song Q Lloren is dedicated to Ivy. Check this out:
Hey Ivy I’m going to bring you a razor so you can cut your veins.
Of course, Ivy Queen isn’t going to sit back quietly about this. She said:
“He doesn’t realize the grave mistake he is making. My 15 year career isn’t going to be tainted by someone that is always on a mushroom trip.”
She goes on to say:
“I am not a hypocrite. I met him and told him what I felt, and later I called him and told him: ‘I don’t know you, you don’t know me. I think it’s disrespectful that you are an alternative music artist and you get up to collect the reggaeton awards using our beat.’”
One thing is for sure, the new Calle 13 track is going to piss off a lot of the reggaetoneros.

Okay Ivy said this when? And this is their response? To me this is very immature. And what they handled themselves like this because she is a women? This group is fake. Plus if your going to have an award show then the true people of that genre should be credited and not some posers like this group. Ivy was right. I think the only thing she did wrong here is that her voice should have been heard louder because that wasn’t right in what happened. You go Ivy and tell how it done!

I like Ivy Queen, she has a few good tracks, but she is no way a match for CALLE 13.. I agree with the previous posts, they are fantastic and they deserve all the awards they get. They are number one from the rest.

Jajajajajaja!!! Lmao!!! I’m not really a fan of calle 13 but i think they are right in a lot of the things they say in the song. Calle 13 are probably the only ones that dont care about all those fashion things but more about their work and being humble & unique with their style. If they got those awards it must be because they earned them some way… And if people are going to go talk shit about them it must be because they are jealous…

Ivy Queen is just a HATER. Why is she going to hate on Calle 13 because they won a Grammy. Girl please, if you dont want them to win then make the hits. Obviously, if they won the award then the people must like them and enjoy listening to their music… They just need to stop acting like kids their all in the late 20’s/ 30’s.

Ok we all know that Ivy Queen was good at her high point. The genre of music is slowly dying and Calle 13 never said that they were in competition with the regetoneros. They are different and it is not their fault the people in charge of placing artists in the right categories don’t know what they are doing. Bravo Calle 13! pero mas suave por favor.

This is the part that makes me respect Calle 13.
Embracing a Pan-american identity.
They ARE crazy.
How through their music they educate people.
Even though this song is like a slap in the face, it’s a reality-check-slap and if Calle has the talent send a msg through a song, they should go for it.

Hospital Panamericano is a Mental facility in the city of Cidra in Puerto Rico…..no relation to Pan American Identity….anyways I give it to Calle 13. They have their own style and the mix works.
One thing, after the new song and comments to Ivy he will gain my respect if he sings in any barreada, caserio (project) in Puerto Rico….the song can hold anything you write to it….but do you really have the guts (I would have use another word) to strike at the regetoneros live? Will see……

Aight, first off Reaggeton is not a genre, it falls under Urban music, so ivy is wrong in that stance, second when ivy queen makes a song like “Pal norte” only then she can talk about music, till then she can keep crying bout men in all her cds

Calle 13 is the best.
They sang with Vicentico from Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Cafe Tacuba and other big artist.
They stay true to their music and their lyrics are real. Not only are they amazing but listen to their songs they sing about the economy, problems that revolve around the world not about crying over men and singing about being love.
I cannot relate to music about crying over men.
Ivy Queen is a plastic, manufactured artist, her last song isn’t even urban it was bachata(I like bachata) then she sings songs that she probably doesn’t write. When she comes up with a song like Pal’ Norte will I then give respect to her.
