After the fiasco in Peru for being five hours late to their own concert, Residente of Calle 13 decided to write an open letter to the people of Peru.

He did apologize for the major tardiness and said:

“I wasn’t just bothered because of the aggression toward me, it’s just that the item that was thrown could have hit any of my brothers starting with mu younger sister who sings with me. My reaction was proportionate to the violence to which I was received and my band was welcome to. I am also an honest person and what I feel is reflected in my soul. The audience has a right to be mad but nobody has the right to hurt someone else.”

The artist also promised never to book two shows on the same day. Lesson learned the hard way!
