Reggaetoneros VS Calle 13
Calle 13 won three Latin Grammys last night. They were the only ones from the reggaeton genre to take home a prize. Apparently, this really pissed off the rest off the reggaetoneros. So much, that they all left early, except for Ivy Queen. That doesn’t mean she didn’t have her own two cents to add about their victory sweep. She said:
“Three Grammys is a lot. There are a lot of rappers to divide them amongst.”
We love Ivy, but…Come on, Calle 13 deserve what they got. This isn’t the boy scouts where prizes are divided amongst everyone. Calle 13 deserve these awards. As much as we love Wisin y Yandel, Tego Calderon, and Rakim y Ken Y, we have to admit that they don’t sound that far off from each other.
If anything, treat this as a challenge. Work hard, think creatively, and deliver something that will surprise us all - we know you can. Then maybe you can take home three awards next year, and we’re sure you wouldn’t be complaining then.

Actually,
tego wisin and yandel and rakim y ken-y dont sound at all the same
Tego sings much much differently and has different type of beats to his music and he does alot of urban music not just reggaeton.
and i have to admit Wisin y yandel do sound like all the other reggaetoneros music and voice
but RAKIM Y KEN-Y are DIFFERENT from them they sing differently then tego and wisin y yandel they sing mostly about love and they work with a lot of different reggaeton beats unlike wisin and yandel who have used the same beats alot, rakim has a good rapping voice and Ken-y sings like un angel. I love there music and theres not one song that i dont like of theres. I love tego and i love Rakim y Ken-y and if you recall RAKIM Y KEN_Y wasnt even nominated even though down was a HIT song every where and not just in Puerto rico or florida but even in new jersey and cleveland as well and other places in america. i even heard english speaking americans singing it and yet they did not get not one nomination. Calle 13 i love them and i think they deserved there awards but i think they should have given other awards to people who deserved it too. Tego has been working hard all these years and has yet to win award after his first hit single. Wisin y yandel work very hard and even when they came out with HIT songs like Mayor Que yo or Rakata they didnt win any awards from the grammys. Calle 13 an urban group had just came out not so long ago this YEAR. they got 3 awards for songs that werent even there for more than 5 months. so i understand why the reggaetoneros were mad but i still think they should have supported there rapero/reggaetonero Calle 13 instead bein a bitch and walking out on the award show. They should have looked at other peoples music not just wisin and yandel daddy yankee or don omar,ii was tired of hearing the same damn nominees each year so i was happy when i saw tego was nominated and when calle 13 was nominated but i wish they would of looked at other artist to like zion y lennox who have a wonder voices and music and yet they never won an award let alone nominated for an award. but i stand my ground when i say RAKIM AND KEN-Y should have been nominated and should of won the NEW ARTIST award. because they are wonderful singers and people and they are very good in what they do. they’ve worked so hard to get where they are now (not trying to say that any other reggaetonero didnt b/c i know most of them did)rakim and ken-y are the duo romantico mas importante de este genero

Tego Calderon is an original who has been in the game for a long time. He is a true hip-hop artist and a trained musician, and not just a “regaetonero”.
His music is anything but typical.

the awards need to change there outlook when it comes to urban artist, they pick the same people to be nominated every year, what about hector el bambino or rakim y ken-y.they should have urban male and female in catagories so ivy queen can win she’s been holding it down for the ladies for a hot min.
