MTVMTV Latin America announced that the 2006 MTV Latin Video Music Awards will take place in Mexico City on October 19th. Palacio De Los Deportes Arena will host the award show with plenty of room for 10,000 people.

Last year’s show, slated to take place in Playa del Carmen, was postponed permanently thanks to Hurricane Wilma. The funny thing is that most of the celebrities that fled Mexico last year headed to Miami and unfortunately for them the hurricane followed them there as well.

The MTV Latin Awards should be fun to watch. They are one of the most entertaining award shows in Latin Entertainment. You can catch the show on MTV, MTV2,and MTV en Español. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that there will be no natural disaster for this event and I don’t mean Julieta Venegas’s outfit. That’s one disaster I know will happen.
